In my opinion this is absolutely the best knife of it’s kind available. It may also be one of the most expensive examples of it’s kind. in other words you get what you pay for. Flipping open is easy or hard depending on the setting of the pin screw. Mine is tight minus about 15 degrees of turn, and works very well for me, fully equal in speed and ease to a spring assisted knife, and a lot more legal. The blade is very sharp and has been as strong as I have needed it to be for cutting meat, hides, kindling, nylon line (or hemp rope) up to 3/4″, and several other similiar materials. It will also handle any cooking cutting or slicing tasks I have used it for. It is easy to carry, won’t rust, and takes very little diamond stone sharpening to keep a very sharp blade. Add it all up and it’s worth every penny I paid for it. (I originally carried it in a “cargo” pocket with the clip holding it in but I have removed the clip and now carry it in a neck holder, which I am very happy with.)
