If you are going to buy just one flshlight in your life this is the one to get. Makes great present for a boy scout to take into adult life.
My boys are joining the boys scouts and all boys want one of these for camping, and my 2 and 4 year old grandkids saw them and want one ofhese instead of the cute little animal shaped ones flashlights becasue the heads adujust. Perfect for the emergency or hurricane prep kit, can split into the 3 individual lights for 3 differnet people if needed.
THE HEADS ARE ALSO ADJUSTABLE SO YOU CAN FOLD IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS TO LIGHT when all 3 are together MORE A WIDER AREA. I do not have to hold the light for my husband anymore. He can fix things by himself. Each light takes 2 double a batteries to work so you need to buy 6 aa batteries. With this wonderful light you just fold out the legs and it can shine straight up when you are under something. This the answer to any Mr.Fix-it’s prayers.
Makes great gift for just about anyone, the handy person or boy scout or camper.

I am a retired Mechanical Engineer, having worked in engineering warranty analysis for the last 10 years using Six Sigma Black Belt training (used by many large corporations such as GE, PACCAR, etc). I purchased the Stanley MaxLife 369 Tripod and have used it 3 times in the last 9 months, the switch has failed and will not turn the light off. This type of infant mortality failure should not happen and is the result of defective components or defective processs controls. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNTIL THE MANUFACTURER HAS RE-DESIGNED OR CORRECTED THE DEFECT(S).

I had ordered this item as a gift. However, all the pieces arrived loose (though wrapped in plastic) in a regular mailing box, not a Stanley box. I had to return it since it could not be given as a gift as it looked like items just thrown together.

Does the light work as advertised? Yes. But it’s so far behind the blinkin’ times that it’s just not worth it. Too many batteries are needed for this LED fossil. It stands up by itself, the LEDs never burn out, but modern LED flaslights are far more effective and far brighter and burn far longer on less batteries. In short, this is a dinosaur. If you need a decent light, buy Nitecore or Fenix (to name two). Or buy some elsewhere. The only way this could be worse if if it used bulbs with filaments. As another reviewer pointed out, you might get a faulty one when you have that many. In other words, you can do better.

This flashlight died. Simple.
It is a nice enough idea, but the individual lights that come out of the tripod or thin and awkward. I could get past that if they would stay on for more than a few seconds at a time. They were great for a very short time, and then blinked out into nothingness. A disappointment.
